Bella Garden Project Wishlist

Working with tools is essential for the development of the whole child here at Bella Mente and The Bella Garden Project.  Students are introduced to tool safety as part of the schoolwide RRSP and A (in the garden and nutrition lab) throughout their experience at BMMA.

Garden Wish List:

  • Compost Fork

  • Shovels (flat, round) 6 total

  • Hoes 2-3 total

  • Hand tools

  • Loppers 2 total and Hand Pruners 6

  • Harvesting crates 4 total

  • Corn broom

  • Watering cans 16 total

  • Sturdy wheelbarrow

  • Basic carpentry tools

    • (hammers, pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, T50 staples,staple gun)

  • Twine and rope, landscape rope.

  • Linseed oil

    • (to be added to sand to clean tools)

  • 3 bags of sand

  • Wire brushes

    • (6 total to clean tools when done)

  • Rubbing alcohol (clean pruners/clippers when done)

  • Organic soil amendment

    • (feather meal, bone meal, kelp meal, gypsum, oyster shell, rock phosphate)

  • Perlite 3 bags 

  • Coco Coir Bricks 

  • Grodan A-OK 1"x1" Sheet of 200 Rockwool / Stonewool Starter Cubes
