Bella Mente Family Newsletter 9/25/17

Dear Parents,

We hope the fall season is off to a great start for you and your family. As we head into October, there are many exciting events on the horizon. This is a great time to get involved at Bella Mente! It’s no secret that children are most successful when parents are consistent, supportive and involved with their education.

There are many ways that you can volunteer at Bella Mente:

* Classroom Volunteer

* Have lunch with your child

* Attend Parent-Teacher Conferences (October 26, 27)

* Volunteer and Participate in our Book Fair (See information below)

* Volunteer and Participate in our Fall Festival (October 14)

* Work with Mr. Hank in the Garden

* Read weekly newsletters

* Join the PTO

* Help with Drop off/Pick Up

For more information about becoming a parent volunteer, please email us at

The BOOK FAIR is coming!

We will be open the following dates :

Friday 9/29 11-1:15

Monday 10/2 11-4:15

Tuesday 10/3 11-5:30

Wed 10/4 11-1:30

Last day of sales is Wednesday October 4th.

Please see the following link if you would like to help out, we can use all the volunteers we can get. There is a special incentive for those that volunteer.

Remember, all the money raised at the book fair goes back to the school. To date we have raised about $40,000 in books for the library and classrooms.

Reminders:

LOST AND FOUND

With cool mornings, many of our students are dressing appropriately for the cool weather. However, as the day goes on and the temperature rises, students remove their jackets and sweaters and leave them on the field. Sadly, that garment may never be reunited with its owner because the student forever forgets about it.

Please remind your student to come home with everything that he came to school with. We have a collection of water bottles, clothing, lunch bags, etc., that remain unclaimed. Because we do not have the ability to store these items indefinitely, at the end of each month, they are donated to needy families.

DROP OFF and PICK UP LANE

PULLING FORWARD

Each day, several hundred vehicles enter our Campus to drop off or pick up their students. Every effort is made to make the process as smooth and as quick as possible but we need your help.

We are reminding everyone to please pull forward when the vehicle in front of you pulls forward. Leaving empty space between your vehicle and the one in front of you contributes to vehicles backing up onto Emerald.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Keep up those healthy “Green Thumb Snacks” everyone. I have had so many students say that are helping to make their snacks for school. Way to go.
