Important Message :: Mensaje importante

Dear Bella Mente Families,

We are aware of the threats made at Vista High School. The officials at Vista Unified and the authorities have deemed that the threat is not viable.

While awareness is heightened by many on school safety and possible school violence at this time, your Bella Mente administration remain always vigilant, always doing our best to ensure that students, staff and visitors remain safe and secure.

The administration of Bella Mente Montessori Academy has prepared a Comprehensive School Safety Plan that addresses school violence and shootings as well as a variety of other types of potential emergencies. Members of our staff have been trained and have practiced how to handle these and other types of situations. Not only does staff know how to respond, but also how to identify potential threats, how to assess and how to act. This plan is reviewed annually and is updated as new lessons are learned from tragic events.

As a preventative measure, our campus employs both perimeter and internal fencing, a security camera system for both inside and outside of the buildings, a vetting process for all visitors as well as other internal security measures.

Please know that we are committed to the safety of your student and those that work and visit Bella Mente. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to approach any of the Bella Mente administrative team.
