Also, that day down at The World Beat Center in Balboa Park is the “Good Food Community Fair” 11 am-3 pm. Here is the link for this tasty event. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/good-food-community-fair-true-cost-of-food-ti ckets-36668144407

Will you join Bella Mente and participate in Walk & Bike to School Day October 4, 2017? Lace up those running shoes or strap on the safety helmet and get a healthy start to your morning by walking or biking it in. Keep up those healthy “Green Thumb Snacks” everyone. I have had so many students say that are helping to make their snacks for school. Way to go.

In Lower El students learned about parts of a pear. Also, they had a chance to enjoy America’s favorite pear, the Bartlett.

Look under recipes for the newest addition. The oven roasted jalapeno pinto bean dip was a hit! Super yummy.

Did you know we have a PE Teacher/Coach? Come meet Andre at the Health Wellness Committee meeting this Wednesday at 3:30. He will talk about PE standards and also it gives you a chance to say hello. This meeting is open to all families and students as well as community members. Will you come and make Bella Mente even a healthier school?
