Mr. Hank's Corner 12/11/17

Well, first and foremost I must say it has been super busy here at Bella Mente with so many different things going on recently. We have had WASC, Vista Christmas Parade, Lilac fires and now this week it is the Winter Spectacular.

We had such an amazing turn out during the parade from families walking in the parade either with us or with their troops or their organization and many families in the crowds cheering us on. What a day and most of all thank you to all for being a part of that day.

Transformation has begun down in the garden as students have been studying about crop rotation and I must say what a great job they have been doing to make sure our garden is ready for more planting.

Tuesday December 19th will be our last Health Wellness Committee meeting before we head off onto break. The focus of this meeting will be surrounded around staying active during your winter break and also making sure you take time for yourself.

Will you come join us in the Nutrition Lab at 3:45pm for updates on Farm to School

activities in San Diego, and help yourself to some light snacks. If you have a question reach out to me at hstelzl@bellamentecharter.org

So what have you been grateful for this year is always a question I ask students but what about parents. I know I am grateful for each day just being a new opportunity to learn something new. A quote from Albert Einstein, “Logic will get you from A to B but imagination will get you everywhere.”

Have a great week everyone!
