Mr. Hank's Corner 4/9/18

March may have been the month to celebrate National Sleep Foundation Sleep Awareness Week, however during the month of April with testing in place it is important to make sure your child gets a good night rest each evening. Meditation or yoga are great ways to relax the body before getting those much needed zzz. Also, limit the amount electronic stimulation before bed. Your brain needs to be hydrated so make sure that you are also drinking plenty of water each night as well. For more tips visit https://sleepfoundation.org/

Sunday April 22, 2018 is also Earth Day. EarthFair in Balboa Park is the largest free annual environmental fair in the world. EarthFair 2018 will be the 29th annual event! Each year, the EarthFair draws around 60,000 visitors. For more information visit http://www.earthdayweb.org/EarthFair.html

With so many wonderful opportunities available to you what will you do to celebrate this year? Start recycling or composting at home are some of the simplest ways to help doing things to make our world better one just in some very simple ways. Use a reusable water bottle to help keeping the plastic bottles out of our waterways. Something as simple as a mason jar works too.
